About Us

Full Gospel Assembly Mornington – Our Foundation Story

Full Gospel Assembly Mornington Peninsula (FGAMP) is one of three churches that was birthed as part of a 5 year plan by Full Gospel Assembly Melbourne.

In September 2009, Ps Roland Seow, the founding pastor of FGA Melbourne approached my wife Angeline, and I about starting a pioneering work in the Mornington Peninsula region. At this time, our family had been faithfully attending FGA Melbourne, our home church, for over 8 years, and were involved in the prayer, worship and home group ministries. While our family lived in Mt. Martha, Angeline and I were quite hesitant to start a church in this area, as we did not have any resources to start with. However we felt called and humbled to be chosen as God’s servants and decided to offer whatever we had to God.

Prior to Ps Roland’s request, in 2008, we had started a fortnightly prayer meeting with a small group of our family friends. It was a time of great breakthrough through intense prayer and interceding for our nation, and hearing the revelation of God’s Word for the current time and seasons of our life. The Holy Spirit took over these meetings with tremendous revelation of God’s inspiring Word and prophetic insights were released.

Sometime in October 2009, we took Ps Roland’s request to this group of believers and asked them to consider Ps Roland’s proposal to commence an outreach in the area. After two weeks of seeking the face of God about whether we should turn the prayer group into an outreach church, everyone agreed to commence a pioneering work. Consequently, Angeline and I told Ps Roland that we were willing to start an outreach church with our Frankston prayer group. After Ps Roland and Ps YC Goh attended one of our meetings, and our prayer group attended a morning Service in our home church, our church, Full Gospel Assembly Mornington Peninsula was born.

We agreed to meet fortnightly, and our first Sunday service was held on 11 April 2010. A group of approximately 20 people attended in our Mornington community centre: Benton’s Square Community Centre. We commenced regular Sunday services from the 11 September 2010. As a church we believed that for our future growth we needed to be meeting regularly on Sundays to become a home church for many to grow and mature in God. This arrangement allowed us to put our roots down and also gave us the opportunity to make the community aware of our existence.

On the 6th of June 2010, Ps Roland and Evelyn Seow ministered and prophesied that our church would be a house of refuge, a place of repentance and revival and a church were men and women walk in purity and receive God’s grace to walk in truth and not be offended.

6 years later, we are still acting and moving by faith to reach out to this local community. We pray that people living in our community will see the fingerprint of God on their life, and that the Truth of God will be revealed to the lost. Most of all, we desire for people to be drawn to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

To God alone be the Glory, Praise, Honour, and Worship,
Pastor Kenath and Angeline Verghese

Our Preamble

At the Full Gospel Assembly Mornington Peninsula, our underpinning beliefs are:

Our Leadership

Senior Pastors

Ps. Kenath Verghese is the senior and founding pastor of Full Gospel Assembly Mornington Peninsula (FGAMP). He has a sincere desire and passion for the Word of God, and is dedicated to introducing Jesus Christ as a personal Friend to whomever he meets.

Teaching the Word of God is a great joy and passion of our senior Pastor as he encourages us to be ‘Truth seekers’ and a sincere disciple of Jesus Christ (John 1:14-17). He also reminds us that our fundamental purpose in life is to cultivate a relationship with our Heavenly Father and live a life of worship and praise to Him.

Ps. Kenath is also an international speaker and has travelled to many countries including Papua New Guinea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and America. He is full of the Holy Spirit, and like John the Baptist of old, encourages his church to live a life of ‘repentance’ as we prepare our hearts and lives for the Lord’s second coming.

Together with his wife, Angeline, and children, they serve God on the Mornington Peninsula. Angeline is not only the mother of our church but is also the pastor of our kid’s Sunday school, hospitality and weekly prayer team. She is enthusiastic about raising up a generation that loves God with all their heart, mind and soul (Matthew 22:37).

Angeline is much loved for living and breathing hospitality. She has captured God’s heart and love for people and is determined to show others the love of Jesus.

Youth & Worship Pastors

Samuel Verghese, together with his wife Shannen, are the Youth leaders and soon to be Youth pastors of our church. Samuel is the son of Ps. Kenath and Angeline Verghese and has been given a desire by God to impact the lives of teens and youths on the Mornington Peninsula.

Shannen has sincere passion for worship and finds no greater joy in using her God-given musical talents to lead our worship ministry and bring Him glory. Samuel & Shannen’s passion for God is fierce, courageous and inspires youth to experience the love and power of Jesus Christ and to be a living testimony of our Saviour.
